C200 DeepOcean ACP2 Plough Share Modifications.
The main scope of work was to modify existing shares on one of DOUK’s ploughs that was earmarked for a new project, the modification was to improve the flow of the Jetting outlets.
EMS carried out the following tasks throughout the modifications to the plough:
- qualified a WPQR for HARDOX 450/S690QL (butt welds & fillets) specific for contract
- supplied machined components
- modified existing plough sheave by utilising plasma cutting for a more accurate and cooler cut
- conducted 100% NDT post weld operations
- full manufacturing record book supplied on completion
The above modifications proved successful during a recent trenching campaign as we received feedback from our customer direct.
