BHGE approached EMS to assist with their program for developing a new pipe, this required qualification and with that EMS worked from drawings supplied by BHGE to manufacture the Test Rig and its many components once complete we were then tasked to commence the testing of the newly manufactured pipe through various stages such as Seal, Burst and Creep. This was all witnessed a third party organisation in this case DNV were utilised on BHGE’s request.

EMS carried out the following tasks to complete the testing for BHGE:

• Sourced raw material to BHGE specification direct from Forge
• Machined components in line with BHGE’s drawings
• Conducted 100% NDT post machine operations
• Built test rig in line with standard
• Tested pipe samples and recorded via video link and data logger to measure pressure
• All testing witnessed by DNV
• Full Manufacturing Record Book supplied on completion

The above modifications were carried out to BHGE’s specifications and delivered within agreed timeframe.
